If you think about it, you've already split them up from their brothers and sisters. That furry grey seal was made at a factory in China along with a 100 other furry grey seals.
Together they were put into a crate and onto a ship where they were sent to the UK. That 100 were split up into a groups of 5 and sent all over the UK. There the five of them sat in the toy shop, watching them individually being taken away. If you listened carefully when you were buying your furry grey seal you would have heard it saying goodbye to its last 4 friends 😆
I've certainly felt the same way when it has come to selling my cars. My dad has always taken incredible care of his motors and I've grown up the same. Of course there's the excitement of getting a new car, but I feel so awful knowing my pride and joy probably won't receive a fraction of the love it did with me. And I'm very careful not to mention impending replacement within earshot (do cars have ears?), as I can vouch for the fact that they really do go wrong the moment they're about to be sold. I even had a car that had been 100% reliable for 70,000 miles break down on the way to trade it in for a newer one.
They just know! I’m not ashamed to say that when my last car was going to be scrapped, I gave it an awkward hug before it left. Awkward because it’s hard to hug a Honda Civic.
I too have struggled with this. I donated my grown chidren's soft toys to the school I work at. (Well some of them!) I was feeling smug until i saw the Eeyore in a local charity shop window. Recognisable to me due to it's dodgy eye. Just looking out at me. I stopped myself from going in to purchase it but often wonder if it's still in there somewhere. I thought i was alone in this.
Slightly disappointed not to read the story of your (some might argue) callous discarded old Christmas tree.
Simon the rabbit was given as a gift to an ex girlfriend- he was hidden in a locker at Waterloo station together with tickets for the Orient Express and my ex was given the challenge of working out where he and the tickets had been hidden. Since then he has sat at the top of a box of toys in my old office’s reception, sat staring at a the inside of a box in storage and now he is in my recording studio. Simon will be with me until my last day (okay the ex gave him back in anger when I left her but he really was always my rabbit). His fur is slightly less white than it was originally and there are other signs of aging on his face and mine. He isn’t a real rabbit but having owned two of these I would say he is better than a real rabbit. 🐰 and really, he is my rabbit and I am his person and that’s what really matters isn’t it.
I don't like certain cars parking beside mine. If i have the kids with me, then I like a neighbour with car seats. But if I'm solo, then I don't want my cool vibe flattened by a loser family car (even tho I still have my car seats in).
I don't trust any cars with a personalised number plate - they are show offs and not my kind of people.
If the car park is mostly empty and someone parks beside me then I think it's friendly. Unless it makes it hard for me to get out, then I think it's power play.
When I have stayed in a holiday cottage, and we have had a nice stay, I always to a final walkthrough and say thank you to each room for being nice to us and helping us have a good time. I'm 53...🤦

I would have been able to cope! 💔

Your love from Simon is shining through. Even I have some fondness for him now 😂.
Sorry for not mentioning the discarded tree, the guilt is too much at this time of year.
I can relate to the bike thing.

I didn't realise how odd all this was.
Haha! It all sounds completely normal to me!

Love this so much!
Here is a photo of Simon
This is too painful as I can’t see a photo.
Ohh perhaps they won’t let me post a photo
