I've given up reading and only read your Substack. (Not really, but I generally read what you recommend, as you know, so I have very little to report back that you haven't read - except the fantasy fiction collection I've read this year and I know you give them a wide berth!) Sincerely though Annabel, this really is my favourite thing to read every week. :-)
I'm reading Anxious People by Fredrik Blackman (same author as A man called Ove.) Have read A rabbit factor by Antti Tuomainen, Home Stretch by Graham Norton and Kill your friends by John Niven (still not sure about that one, it was interesting but uncomfortable at the same time.)
The wedding portrait is sitting on my bookshelf, ready for me to pounce. Currently reading the road to Wigan pier by Orwell. And Britney’s book which is ACE.

💛💚 Thank you.
I'm reading Mama Still Got It, by Louise Boyce.
Very funny read about the "joys" of living with a young child as they start reception and beyond.
I follow her on Instagram. She's great, isn't she? Nice to hear her book is good as well. I'll have to get it.

Thank you. Have made a note of all these apart from the last one as I only want to be comfy.
The Richard Osman Thursday Murder Club series, Biography of X, Piranesi
Thank you. I've been meaning to try the Richard Osman books. They are very popular.
The “Speaking” bloke is definitely a Drifter!
100%! He'll never sleep properly again.
Maggie O’Farrell « The Wedding Portrait »
(Or anything else by her that you may be fortunate enough not to have read already)
Oh yes that’s her most recent one, isn’t it? Will definitely read it this year.

That’s interesting. I think I need to read the Britney book then.
